Sea Machines’ first product line, the SM series, is a revolutionary autonomous command and control platform for commercial craft. To come onboard, you need to be an ambitious sales professional who is driven to identify new customers, introduce innovative solutions, and reliably close opportunities.


The Business Development Manager is responsible for pursuing new OEM partnerships and developing our business opportunities in the EMEA region. The candidate will promote and develop the OEM channel and generate OEM collaborative opportunities through prospecting, networking, and establishing industry relationships. We expect the manager to seek, identify, and negotiate to acquire new OEM customers and develop more business with existing ones. The Business Development Manager will define and implement strategies to attract new business and serve as the OEM domain expert for Sea Machines.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop OEM partnerships that will enable exponential growth and long-term commercial commitments.
  • Identify key areas of alignment between Sea Machines and its prospective partners by focusing on specific industries, targeting growth markets, and providing solutions.
  • Prospect and proactively target OEM customers, make compelling presentations, coordinate product demos, and draft winning proposals.
  • Manage all aspects of the project process to ensure a successful result for both Sea Machines and our partners.
  • Ensure highly satisfying customer experiences during and post sales and spearhead the resolution of any customer issues.
  • Contribute to business development strategy planning and execution.
  • Be a proactive and positive brand ambassador for Sea Machines.
  • Measure and report regularly on the status of the sales pipeline engagements and achievements.
  • Maintain an activity log within Sea Machine’s CRM system.
  • Collaborate with other Sea Machines teams to support the closing of new business opportunities.
  • Attend the company’s tradeshows and events, according to the approved schedule, and be fully engaged with customers at these times.
